This is a card that warns a person to make sure that s/he isn't holding onto unhealthy relationships, careers, friends, or situations. It can point to codependency or addictive behaviors, or even an over-emphasis on the material realm over everything else in life.

You might be tempted to try to keep up with the Joneses or to try to shop your issues away - remember, what you avoid or overdo (in order to numb your emotions) will end up hurting you in the long run. Make sure that you check your own motivations and drives in life.

It could also mean that you feel tied to a former lover or way of thinking - unable to free yourself from the energetic/Karmic ties that bind you. Know that this is all an illusion and that you have the power to make changes in your life, should you truly desire. You might have given someone in your life more pull and influence than you should have, and now it is time to take your life back.

Don't let fear or hopelessness control you, or act from a place of paranoia or negativity. Try to see the silver lining instead of the rainclouds, and remember to be optimistic about the potential of your future.
